Preparing Shotguns for Sale or Pawn

There's a reason why many pawn shops have a large assortment of shotguns and other types of weaponry. Weapons are often one of the best things to pawn or sell; they have known value, they are usually fairly expensive, and you don't usually need them in your day-to-day life. But because a shotgun is a weapon (even if it's a collector's item), you need to do some special preparation.

AK vs AR?

The AK-47 is a selective-fire, gas-operated 7.62×39 mm rifle developed in the Soviet Union by Mikhail Kalashnikov. Design and development began in 1945 and in 1948, the rifle entered service with select units of the Soviet Army. In early 1949, it was fully adopted by all Soviet Armed Forces as well as most members of the Warsaw Pact. Even after almost 70 years, the AK and its many variants are still the most prolific rifles in the world. Their fame is due in part to their unwavering reliability in virtually any conditions, low manufacturing cost and ease of operation. It is estimated that one fifth of all firearms in use in the world today belong to the Kalashnikov family.

Why should you Own a Shotgun?

When it comes to versatility, there is no firearm that better meets the definition than a shotgun. Used for hunting, defense and sport shooting, this venerable platform has proven its worth in more ways than can be described.

Proficiency is gained at the range, and going to the range requires ammunition. Will one box of ammo get you to a level of expertise that is required to be considered a ‘good shot’? Absolutely not.
