One of the action figures released by Kenner from the blockbuster film Star Wars in 1978 was the Jawa. For several months, Kenner sold the Jawa with a vinyl cape, similar to what was found on the Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader action figures. Soon thereafter, the Jawa’s vinyl cape was replaced with a cloth cape, making the scarcity of the original version skyrocket. One recent auction fetched over $18,000 for an authentic, packaged and mint-condition vinyl caped Jawa!

Boba Fett is another such treasure. A rare Boba Fett action figure sold for $204,435 at Hake’s Auctions in March of 2022, setting a world record as the most expensive Star Wars action figure ever sold.
