Buying and Selling Coins

Coin collecting is both a fun hobby and one that can be quite lucrative if you know what you’re doing. Some people may be avid collectors while others may have just inherited a coin collection from a relative. Perhaps you are getting your kids interested in coin collecting, or maybe you have just such a collection from when you were a kid. Whatever the case, these coins may be worth some money. If you are interested in pawning or selling your coins, or if you are looking for rare coins to add to your portfolio, Metro Pawn & Gun is a terrific place to visit.

Hunting & Fishing Equipment

Metro Pawn & Gun is a very popular destination for a great many things. If you are looking to sell something that has fallen into disuse, need a short-term loan on something you still intend to keep, or want to go shopping through a diverse store where the inventory is always different and interesting – we are that place.

World War & Replica Firearms

Owning certain original, vintage firearms can be a rather expensive endeavor. Fortunately, there are some options!

The Pawn Process

“Pawning” is a process in which you bring an item into the pawn shop in exchange for a cash loan. For example, you might pawn a gold wedding ring as collateral for a $250 loan.  If you repay the loan by a predetermined date, you can retrieve your gold ring. The loan repayment amount will include interest and fees that are typically regulated by the state. You also have the option to extend the repayment time frame, although this will incur continuing interest. If you fail to repay the money on time, the pawn shop takes ownership of the ring and can offer it for resale.

Collecting Coins

Coin collecting is a hobby enjoyed by many people, young and old alike. Some focus on old coins, some on the newly minted. Others enjoy the variety of amassing coins from around the world, or a particular country of interest. Collectors range from the casual aficionado to the hardcore experts who will pay top dollar for what they seek. It can be a hobby that is easy on the checkbook or one that takes a fair level of financial investment. One thing is certain, if coins appeal to you, there is something to fit any and every budget or level of interest.

Spring is Here, as is Metro Pawn & Gun

As of March 20th, Spring has officially started. Although it’s not quite time for swim trunks and water slides, it’s fair to hope that winter is behind us! Everyone is feeling that urge to get out of the house! After being snow and ice-bound for months thanks to our Minnesota weather, it’s time to feel warmth and sunshine and put away our snow shovels. With the new season come various activities that we can enjoy without being bundled up in a winter parka.

Tips To Pawn Or Sell Your Laptop or Tablet

Depending on the type of computer you have, we can use it as collateral for the loan you need or you can simply sell it outright and walk away with some cash.

Buying Firearms

The Second Amendment (Amendment II) to the United States Constitution protects the right of individuals to keep and bear arms. There are about 393 million privately owned firearms in the US as of 2022 – or in other words, 120 guns for every 100 Americans! The United States boasts more guns per citizen than any other nation in the world.

Collectibles at Metro Pawn & Gun

A collectible is an object suitable for a collection, such as a work of fine art, an antique or a rare item, but also includes a wide variety of items collected as a hobby, for display or as an investment whose value may appreciate. Vintage toys, antique firearms, old books, unique historical memorabilia and coins all make the cut, but are just a sliver of what can be considered collectible by those who collect. Scarcity, age and condition are definitely determining factors in the desirability and value of such commodities, but social popularity and perceived prestige can also influence the appeal. A pair of Yeezy Red October sneakers is certainly extravagant at $7,500, but to the affluent collector of footwear, they might be worth the price.
